Hey, so Iw as scroling through this blog (bc im an neurodivergent insomniac Who does that kind of stuff instead of sleeping) and 1) This is an amazing and helpful blog 2) I wanted to demonstrate 1 by thanking you for sharing a post about hyper empathy (i think u called it). Its LITERALLY somethign thats been a struggke for me my entier life, but no one ever belive me. "Your just a ver extrovert person" ir "being empathic is good, make you a better friend id u get other people". So thanks! ❤

Hi I’m Lorax!

New mod!

I’m Lorax! My main blog is @lorax177 . I’m 19 and I’m currently an undergrad studying marine bio. I’m from america, and I’ve moved around a lot. My mother especially is emotionally, mentally, verbally, and financially abusive and neglectful, and my dad is too, to a lesser extent (mostly he just does whatever my mom tells him, which is often abusive). I’m the scapegoat of my family and there’s also a lot of gaslighting involved. As for neurodivergencies, I’m autistic, combined-type ADHD, I have a lot of learning disorders, and I’m bipolar-type schizoaffective. I also have a lot of other ND stuff, including anxiety, dissociation, OCD, and several sleep disorders. I’m nonbinary trans (they/them) and acearo. Because I struggle a lot with memory problems and executive dysfunction, I might have a hard time tagging things so if there is something you would like tagged and I’m not sure what tag to put it in or if something qualifies, I’ll tag it as #other so you can safely blacklist something that might be triggering to you.

I’m really excited to start helping out! I know the online community helped me in a lot of ways in dealing with my abuse and ND brain, and while I’m still working things out and I still have to talk to my abusers now and again, things are a lot better for me now that I’m away from them so I want to give back! I’m especially knowledgeable about psychosis, anxiety, mood disorders, autism, ADHD, and learrning disorders in relation to my abuse, and being trans also came into play a lot, so I’d love to help with questions dealing with those topics especially. Please note that I am white and I don’t have any personality disorders or PTSD, my abuse was very rarely physical, and I’m not part of a system; while I do my best to be aware of and check my privilege I might inadvertently say something problematic. If that happens, please call me out on it and I will correct it.
