Hey y’all

lydia dropping in here to let you guys know that my band director is an actual savage

today in band we were working on the beginning of one of our pieces - it’s slow and quiet and is supposed to represent troops moving in the distance if that makes sense? anyway the guy on snare kept rushing and he complained to my band director that he was conducting too small and snare guy couldn’t see it well enough to go at the right tempo (but of course, because of the character of the piece it should be conducted in small movements at the beginning)

and my band director deadass looks this guy in the eyes and goes “How many conducting classes have you taken?”
