The other day I was playing a dungeon and I got kinda mad cause the second healer kept going balls deep before the tanks and then the tanks wouldn't, well, tank it was frustrating cause I was trying to heal not only myself because they wouldn't pull Agro and then 4 other people as well. I get the healer wanted to do dps but I wouldn't of minded a LIL help. I do blame myself a bit for not really having powerful heals. :/

So the tanks got salty at the overzealous healer in an 8-man run then made it suck for everyone else? I mean that or they were sort of new and needed some help, but still overzealous healers that don’t help heal really embarrass me. Like, I do have my own moments when I take up the DPS if no one needs healing (like, regardless if the other healer is DPSing or not) but I don’t just not switch back and heal if help is needed like who does that. I really don’t understand the mindset of healers like this and usually when I or someone else makes a complaint about it some of the most bullshit excuses are made.

Like come on man you’re a healer. You can DPS, but don’t be a salty sandwich if the run is too slow for you and not only pull but also DPS exclusively. Stop. :(

Dear everyone, please stop trying to get a 'token pockethealer'. We have things to do that aren't following some ungreatful elitist around and healing them constantly while they act like it is a privilage for us. We don't need you. We can still fight

This. So much this. And many of us have other classes or characters we like to play as well. Hell, healing may not even be our main even if we’re good at it. This is why I never like tie myself to anyone and only dungeon or raid with them. I hate waiting and if they’re an asswipe i hate being responsible for them

Healer Reminder to all the Lovelies

Though you shouldn't take any shiy, remember to cooperate with your peers. Sometimes this means letting a few obviously intentional mistakes slide. What I mean is don't let your salty healer side make everything a bad experience and remember to be proud of the fact that you can carry the dead weight of 3 to 23 slackers. :)

Sometimes I get asked why I don't HQ raid. The answer is simple. I don't have time to dedicate to a static. My work hours fluctuate too much. Also I'd much rather spend my time helping my own FC get gear and do events that don't feel like work such as helping each other with crafts/gathering, doing maps, diadem, farms for miubts eventually etc etc But second to this I believe it's a waste of time for me bc of how ffxiv is built. Without a raid group of friends who all have fun and enjoy it, it's not enjoyable. Plus raid gear is only good for the raid it drops from. You don't need it to clear anything else. All it is is a small trophy piece that makes little difference in your skill as a player. And I don't like the idea of farming until I get my dream set then quitting until next patch. That's bleh my friends. Very bleh. Plus if I can put together a set of gear that maximizes my supportive stats enough to do AS8 without actually doing AS8 then wtf But that's just me!!! I don't judge raiders (unless they're assholes) for raiding. Ya'll are tough cookies and if it's fun for you then that's awesome! I also know plenty of awesome players who don't raid at all so don't forget them. 8) Idk I think the point I wanted to make in this post was tl;dr raiding or not raiding doesn't me you better than anyone else so stop acting like it does. Working in a group and listening to instructions and queues makes for a good player. Pls remember k bai -- Mod Mhi

i've been considering picking up FFXIV for a while, but the pricing normally puts me off almost immediately. is it worth the monthly subscription?

To be honest it depends on the type of game you’re looking for. I can tell you it’s worth it but the game I’m into and the game you’re into maybe two different things.

Hey. I love your blog so much lol I'm starting to relate to it as I started leveling up AST not too long ago and already a lot has happened.

We’re glad you enjoy it! Good luck leveling alright? ;u; Leveling AST myself was a bit of a shit show since I did it not soon after HW came out. All the speed runner 50+ tanks ran into everything to large pull and speed run and here I am like “guys I’m literally going to let you die. 8) Please stop”
