anyways uncle andy was never condemned in gem harvest for his anti-immigrant shit by anyone in the show even tho they had 22 minutes to do so. everyone on either side of su critical, anti or not, can figure out that andy was obviously meant to spew bigoted shit, children aren’t guaranteed to figure it out for themselves, especially those whose parents agree with andy.

and imagine how emotionally damaging this episode must’ve been for children of undocummented immigrants and their parents, how it must have felt to hear him say that about them/their parents and to receive no repercussions whatsoever.
