Sorry it's been so long! Of course we'd love to return to this event. Obviously, it takes a lot of prep, so it wouldn't be for a few months if we did end up running something. Not to worry, though - MCYT Yuri Week may pop up again when you least expect it!

Hello hi everyone!!! :D

Us mods are currently in the workshop putting together the next MCYT Yuri Week (aiming for the week of S. Valentine's day!!).

We've already received some words from you and they're awesome :D buuuuuut

🚨🚨🚨We Need More!!!🚨🚨🚨🚨

The way this works is we'll see what we get in the askbox and pair together words to create a theme for each day, you can send as many as you want but keep in mind we might only choose one, so send your favorite/most inspired words :]

We'll use these to make a google poll to determine the official prompts of the event!

ok so. very odd question.

what qualifies as eligible? like would it be funny if i drew smps i’m apart of with friends because we make so much yuri there and it would be funny to make propaganda for an smp that is unavailable to watch anywhere but you can hear us go insane on tumblr

go for it! all we need you to do is make the ship name and the smp name clear to us somewhere in the post :)

hello!! this event looks really fun! i was wondering what your content rules are. for example, are nsfw creations allowed, and if yes, how will they be handled (will they tagged in some specific way)? i know there was discussion about this in previous years but am not sure if that's changed at all. also, are there any topics that are banned (e.g. incest, abuse, any of the major archive warnings, etc.)?

the rule we previously established, and will uphold, is that we will reblog and tag suggestive content (which includes partial nudity), and we will not reblog nsfw content (which includes full nudity, even nonsexual nudity). we'll add to this that we will not reblog content that depicts relationships between canonically related characters, relationships between adult and underage characters, and nonconsensual relationships/interactions. works that depict abuse or violence will be considered on a case by case basis by the mods as to whether they will be reblogged, seeing as violence is often a part of the source material in MCYT, and "toxic yuri" is a well-loved trope across this entire site. you can post whatever you create for the event in the tag, as long as it is tagged with the appropriate content warnings - we just reserve the right to not interact with it officially.

Hypothetically, if the chosen pools aren’t inspiring for the next week would we be allowed to utilise the discarded ones?

Just asking, because for some prompts I’ve really got no idea what to do!

Okay here's the thing, for Yuri Week Valentine's The Event if you wanna draw for it the prompts will be the most popular on the poll and that's it, those will be the official prompts. But if you wanna go and draw for prompts that don't make it, for yourself and friends and post them, go on and be merry. Also you really don't have to make stuff for every single day of the event if you're not inspired, don't feel pressured :)

Personally, because I LOVE some that I know are gonna lose , me, (@moomoorare ) will be drawing them, maybe event writing or making web weaves idk. I have the idea of kinda doing a personal challenge and doing them all , maybe, if I can, during January, because I want to add Yuri art to the mcyt sphere and also, just, I work so well when I have a prompt to work with.
