Oh ok!
GOD DAMN WHAT AN EPISODE HUH..
100% going to assume that the war with Redd and Clown is both an in world thing and also a lifesteal reference LOL
after watching ep 3, I am fairly confident that Whitepine is about the consequences on denial, forcefully trying to move on, being so against change because of the comfort of the same routine you've grown accustomed to. How long will you ignore the itching ache, clawing at the back of your mind until you finally admit that Mysty's dead? You can't ignore her forever you know? forever try to ignore the feeling that someone is gone forever yet their traces are still left the Hemlocke estate?
You can't ignore the body that's still warm.
Whitepine is about grief and interpersonal relationships, can anybody hear me?
also sidenote, I FUCKING KNEWWWW IT!!!! SERAPTOR HAS ISSUES I CHEERED SOO LOUD !!!
.
Something I don't see commented on a lot is how the detective seems expressingly more suspicious of the maids than the butlers? When they were leaving the police station, one of the maids was saying how scary and intense the detective is (iirc) and a butler responds "Oh, he wasn't that bad to me?"
The Emberton wire also has some elements of misogyny in it, so I wouldn't be surprised if the detective was a misogynist, and just had it in his head from the jump that it *had* to be one of the maids, and Ivory happens to be the most suspicious (this is not accusing any of the actors of being misogynists, but suggesting that one of the characters is maybe that way, especially with the implied time period. Which, I could go on a ramble about how good the historical part of Whitepine is)
.
Babe wake up, new Emberton Wire article just dropped
Hey what if The House is alive. And The House is hungry
