Still tweaking a bit but all in all - I’m getting there. Ignis with Crowe’s Outfit from Comrades for once not a render but a mod for the game itself.

Skyrim modding question
Does anyone know how to get edits in an SKSE mod’s ini to actually carry into the game when using Mod Organizer?
MO lets you edit a mod’s ini directly from the program, which I did, and the changes persist between sessions, and they’re present in MO’s actual mod folder, but somehow the game uses the default ini.
I even created a new “mod” that consists only of that one file (in the right directories ofc) with my changes to it, enabled it and gave it a higher priority than the base mod, checked the data tab and confirmed that my version was set to overwrite the base mod’s version. And it still didn’t persist into the game.
Maybe I should learn a bit more about how MO actually deploys its mods, but in the meantime has anyone experienced this and/or know how to fix it?
(Note: I’m not talking about SkyrimPrefs.ini or anything, but an ini for a specific mod, like Skyrim/Data/SKSE/Plugins/modname.ini.)
It’s the Cactubros (x)
MO and nexus logins
PSA that logging in to download mods from MO stopped working today. Old versions of both NMM and MO can’t log into nexus the way they used to. There is a NMM update so people who use that should get it. I don’t know if there’s going to be a MO update (seems unlikely) but if there is, post about it.

relevant part:
In order to be compliant, we need to turn off our old, less secure login to the web services completely. We plan to do this on Tuesday the 8th of May.

This will also affect any other software that uses the old login destination and method, for example, Mod Organizer.
FFFfffffffff.....
So last night I noticed my computer was running sluggish, so I restarted it. When it came back on everything seemed fine, but when I tried to play Skyrim, things started to get weird. When I tried to start it with the SKSE_Loader, it gave me this message
"Steam is required to be running already to correctly start the game. Should MO try to start steam now?" And the message had two buttons, Yes & No.
I already had Steam running, so there's one issue.
I clicked 'No,' and then the Skyrim initial startup menu -- the one with Bleakfalls Barrow on the left and a guy in Barbarian armor standing on a cliff on the right -- popped up.
I clicked Play, the new/load/continue screen popped up, all my game files are still there. I try to load a game, and it tells me that "This save relies on content that is no longer present. Some objects may no longer be available. Continue loading?," followed by a list of my Mods.
I exit out, check Mod Organizer. It shows that all the Mods are still there and seems to indicate that they're all still active (they all have check marks next to them).

Advice? Suggestions?
EDIT: Here is my mod list, in case it’s relevant.
More experiments with mods! XD This time Ignis stuffed into a suit - stylish with Coeurl-Pattern. Still testing though, since I’m not sure if I can leave some things the way they are.

so. i am using mod organizer to run my mods with skyrim special edition. some of these mods do not vibe with mod organizer and make it have warnings. i have run the game with these mods installed before, however. i decided to just put these mods that pissed off mod organizer in the system files. will this ultimately fuck up the way the game runs?
