So uh, yeah. This has actually been in the making for over half a year, embarrassingly enough. Citron’s birthday marks the anniversary of this godforsaken blog! So...hey. It’s Mod Peony, and I think we should finally properly introduce ourselves.

Would using copper wire to wrap vessels help with discerning thoughtforms?

Yep! A thoughtform wouldn’t be able to use a copper wrapped vessel as an energy source, so it would fade and die pretty quickly.

How can I tell if my spirit was replaced with a thoughtform? How do I tell a spirit from a thoughtform? Can you even do that tell the difference?

You 100% can tell the difference. Thoughtforms feel fake, as in their smell, look, and even taste (according to my more biting inclined friends) almost plastic-y. They are also easily disrupted using copper, so if you feel like they aren’t real, toss an old penny at them. However, that would probably irritate most spirits, so use that as a last resort.

How do you guys do the adoption process past the spirit choosing the person?

Usually, we bind or send the spirit shortly after their choice is made and give any withheld information (like the spirit’s name and offerings) to the person who the spirit chose. If the person does not respond in 24 hours, the next best fit is chosen.
