According to Sekai Project on Twitter, The Bell Chimes for Gold is currently in QA and beta testing as of November 28th. I don’t believe they’ve confirmed a release date yet for the full version.

Do you know why Mangagamer doesn't release the PS3 patches of Higurashi and Umineko alongside the updated translations on Steam? It sort of bewilders me.

Since MangaGamer doesn’t have rights from Alchemist to use their assets for the English releases of Higurashi and Umineko as far as I know, I assume it’s because they legally can’t endorse any unofficial patches that uses those same assets by Alchemist either.

Have you heard of Wispfire's "Herald An Interactive Period Drama"? It's a adventure game & Visual novel mix! It's really amazing game - beautiful art, compelling story, great characters, English VAs & explore themes of class, race & has hints of LGBT! Herald is also episodic, like a TellTales game, but new content are still in production. Herald is newly released & isn't very well-known, Please check it out & spread the word! Herald's Website or Kickstarter site will give everything you need!

Do you have any favorite VN artists?

Sure do! I absolutely love Satoi (Diabolik Lovers, OZMAFIA!!, etc.) for how pretty her colors and designs are. I also find Ryuuko Ooishi’s (Hikari no Valusia, Fairytale Requiem, etc.) art to be gorgeous and deliciously terrifying at the same time. Plus, Ooishi’s also worked on games with some of my favorite character designs.

I’m also fond of works by Miki Sugina (Kara no Shojo series, Flowers series, etc.), Peg (Kindred Spirits on the Roof), and Moyataro (The House in Fata Morgana series, etc.).

Umineko Chiru when Also, make I ask if you know whenther or not Mangagamer plans to localize the new When They Cry?

Whoops, my mind immediately jumped to the Grisaia spin-off, Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru, when I saw your ask. Sorry for the mix-up!

To my knowledge, MangaGamer hasn’t announced information on when they plan to open pre-orders for Chiru. The latest status update for Chiru I could find was from a response to an ask from last December where they mentioned they’re still “working on [the Answer arcs for Umineko and Higurashi] right now.”

For your other question, MangaGamer hasn’t made any announcements in regards to the new When They Cry title as far as I know. Personally speaking, a localization confirmation might be too early at this point since the new game was only announced a couple weeks ago, and 07th Expansion hasn’t released any information on it since then including its official title.

That being said, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of MangaGamer getting the license for it later on since 07th Expansion is still one of their existing partners.
