"Runaways" - The Swellers, "10 Years Later" - Come From Away, "Home" - Phillip Phillips + (BONUS) "Haunted House" - Florence + the Machine

Y'all were definitely good friends. "10 Years Later" is like 10 seconds long, so I pulled an extra.

Anyway, I think y'all met in a high tension situation (no shit, Sherlock, I bet you're saying (/lh)); and both of you sort of... Thrived on that? Getting out of the places you'd both been was exciting. You got to leave, see something new, and take matters into your hands. Y'all had a similar attitude towards everything that was thrown at you. You rolled with the punches.

"10 Years Later" just tells me that you guys ended up being pretty long term friends. Which, this is re-iterated by "Home". After whatever sitch you guys met in, you guys were able to rebuild. While you both could roll with the punches, the aftermath hurt both of you. I can't tell if it's romantic at all? "Home" has very strong platonic connotations for me, but I'd take a listen and decide for yourself since it's your reading. "If you get lost, you can always be found," really stands out as a key line here as far as your guys' relationship.

"Haunted House" is... really similar to "Home" in some ways. I think you had a tendency (or one of you, anyway) to shut your feelings away and shoulder everything yourself. It's another song about past hurt, but this one focuses on how you are "not free at all". So, maybe you guys helped each other heal in more subtle ways than talking it out?
