hey mods, if you dont mind me asking, are there any entities that get a relatively small amount of submissions compared to others?

For the most part, the submissions for Avatars are generally well balanced when it comes to the more popular Entities; Web, Desolation, Lonely, Eye, Stranger, Corruption, and Spiral. 

For End, Extinction, Flesh, Slaughter, and Hunt, they do not receive as many suggestions, but they are still pretty common. 

However, if I were to pinpoint where submissions are lacking, it is typically in the Buried, Vast, and Dark. Which I find to be particularly amusing, as the Mods are of two of those three Entities ourselves. If we were ever to add another, I’d hope they’d be an Avatar of the Vast. They are quite amusing people. A joy to be around, provided you’re alright with the potential falling out in the middle of conversations. Hehehe.

Though for the most part, a lot of our submissions are sent along without an Entity, and so the Mods end up having to assign based on a number of factors, from a character’s series of origin to potential meme quality. All important factors are taken into account, as you can see.

Ok! For what it’s worth, it’s best to simply reply to a post or reblog it with a shout out to the submitter! That way the submitter knows you’re talking about contacting them and not someone else! :O

While I appreciate the blog’s purpose and agree with most of it, I don’t think it’s appropriate to reblog with such commentary. The purpose of this blog is simply venting or sharing. If a submitter wanted feedback or an open ear to discuss something, we would encourage them to go to a blog like yours or one on our help blogs list. As these confessions are not particularly open questions or requests for advice, we tend to blanket block blogs who give unrequested advice.

I kind of feel like this falls under the ‘can’t delete bc we don’t know this anon confession is yours’. But if you have already reblogged it, and you really want a tag on it, sure we’ll throw a particular tag on it. Just note two things:

Retro tagging, e.g. adding a tag after something is posted, does not cause the post to appear in the search index/tag search results.

Having a unique tag does not necessarily ensure that your posted anonymous confessions can potentially be requested for deletion. Just because, again, we don’t know if it’s actually the same person on anon, or someone playing around.

Particularly for when submissions are written unusually, with or including: spacey letters, excessive punctuation, mixed capitalization in some combination Derived from the use of bluetext from the book House of Leaves.

Maybe this is a silly question, but are we supposed to include a photo when we submit avatars or do you guys add that later? And are we supposed to use 'leave a statement' or 'submit artifacts'?

“Leave a Statement” is for general inquiries, messages, and submitting Avatars if you do not have an image for them. 

“Submit Artifacts” is for submitting potential Avatars that you have an image for. 

If an image is not provided, then the mods will provide one. So if you are unable to find an image for your suggestion for whatever reason, just Leave a Statement and we shall act accordingly.
