Personal q.... What do you guys do when you’re so frustrated and “over it” you want to scream?? I’ve got wine but I’m gonna be responsible and not drink on an empty stomach so I’m also thinking of placing an order for maybe Indian?? Do samosas help with inarticulate rage at how annoying dating is? What’s the best food for existential angst???? I would go for a run but the state of my city’s sidewalks makes that impossible rn. Gah!!!

Hgggh hello I am moved and mostly unpacked but v v hungover my bffs brought tooooo much wine over and my fridge has been broken for two days so idk if my food is safe to eat and two separate fridge repair men have been here and stuck their hands in it and been like “yep it’s not cold” and then LEFT anyway someone send me fridge repair man Seb fanfic where he sticks his hand in it and then ACTUALLY FIXES IT and then makes me a Caesar and then gives me a nice cuddle.

Your job sounds really cool can I ask what you majored in and what you’re doing in your line of work? Or what it’s called that you do!? You seem so excited and grateful to do what you do and I love that! Keep thriving babe! Also fave tree? Or plant? And why?

Thank you! I think it’s pretty cool too haha. I majored in forest ecology at a Canadian Institute of Forestry certified school so I got a cool little silver ring with a tree on it lol. I’m a forestry technician - it’s a broad hat that can cover a lot of different stuff including doing forest health surveys, collecting data in permanent sample plots (monitoring forest changes over time), lab work, etc. but I’m doing silviculture surveys where we go into harvested areas to make sure that the forest is growing back properly and to make recommendations of what should be done if it’s not. I baaasically get to walk around in the forest all day and I love it.

My fave tree is the Ponderosa pine!! They are big and gorgeous & stately (I love pines in general they have this lovely windswept shape & movement to them) and their bark smells like vanilla and their cones are SO BIG ugh my big beautiful boys I love them

And thank u for the reminder to maybe consider getting my forest blog off the ground lol ONE DAY I will get all these photos off my phone
