Save the 7D
This is a side blog I’ve created as a place to advertise the campaign to save The 7D I seem to have stirred up. Don’t worry, I promise I’ll fix it up so it won’t look so plain and boring.
So, we know that the crew still wants to make episodes and even had episodes at least as far as the planning stages that were dropped from Season 2. The goal of this campaign is to prove to Disney this show is popular and loved enough that they allow the crew to come back and complete the 19 episodes that were cut from the promised 39 we were to get for Season 2, as well as wrap the show up with a proper series finale.
How are we going to do this?
First of all, if you’re upset about the show being cancelled, say it! Not just here, but on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and where ever else Disney will see it! We need to let them know we’re unsatisfied! Be sure to tag all these posts as #savethe7D!
Most importantly, you need to watch the new episodes when they premiere if at all possible. Disney needs to see good ratings. Watch the reruns, too. Watch at every opportunity we get. A site like Zap2it is a great way to keep track of the often wonky schedule. Try to watch the episodes that are available on the Watch Disney XD site and app as well, though this requires a subscription to one of the listed service providers.
I strongly encourage everyone who can afford to do so to legally purchase episodes from iTunes, Amazon, or Google Play. If we truly love this show and want to save it, we need to be willing to spend money on it. This will show Disney The 7D is worth something.
Another thing we can do is download the Mine Train app if you have compatible devices. If you already have the app, try to convince friends and family to check it out. We need to do all we can to show The 7D is popular. And getting others to try such a fun and charming game might provoke them into giving the show a try!
Though the petition we already have is slowly increasing in signatures, we’ll need multiple petitions on multiple different sites. We also need to send letters and emails to Disney higher-ups. Be sure to remain polite and considerate! Some of us may be angry, but any insults or threats won’t get us what we want!
If you don’t want to contribute with petitions or letters, there are others ways to help. Draw fanart! Make video tributes! Post your opinions of the show! Even just liking and reblogging posts helps! Every little bit counts!
If we really want to save this show, we need to be fully dedicated to this. If we aren’t willing to take our goal seriously, we can’t possibly expect Disney to either. We’ll need accounts such as this on other social media sites so the word can be spread there. We need ways to advertise our movement and keep people up to date on our progress. Drop me a message if you’d like to help!
It’s true that our fandom is small, but we can’t let that deter us. Our dwarfs never let their tiny size stop them! We’ll just need to be twice as passionate and vocal to make up for our lack in numbers. “We may be small, but when we put our heads together even dwarfs can become giants!”
