I've been watching this site for quite some time, and I gotta say, it's pretty awesome. But it's missing something important.

ME!

I mean, come on! There are tons of posts and blogs about Sonic (bleh!) and his friends, but almost none about me! When everybody should know I'm more awesome than he is.

And to prove it, I, Surge, am hosting the first ever SURGE APPRECIATION WEEK!! The event will happen from October 8th until October 15th, so better mark it in your calendars.

The list of prompts for each day is already being prepared, so be on a lookout for it.

Kinda wanna make a chain post about fictive etiquette again because while things have generally become better there are still some moments that prove people don't know how to treat us.

So fellow fictives! Please list some stuff you'd like people to remember! For me it's mainly

Stop assuming things about us. We may not be like canon, or like your favorite headcanon. Unless we say something do not assume.

Don't talk about our trauma without asking?? I don't care if it's interesting to the plot??

Please.. stop trying to ship us. Just.. stop.

Don't use us to be weird to others?? Don't??

okay before misinformation spreads here's the thing. Alters cannot have ANY condition that the BODY does NOT have. Meaning, if your alter is dyslexic, everyone in the system is dyslexic including the host if there is one. Now, an Alter can be a Symptom Holder of the dyslexia, and thus compartmentalizes the symptoms of the dyslexia into one alter. But all alters are part of one whole. If your alter has a disorder, you all have it.

not everyone uses part language / has that experience

in the innerworld someone can definitely and there has been cases of headmates influencing the body

plurality is weird and who the hell knows. it could happen but generally i'm here to trust someones lived experience. if someone wants to describe it as a headmate having [x] i dont care

DID was trending on twiter today but it was people saying hiw its a rare and ficticious disirder abd not to trust people saying they hae it fake or diagnosed bc they use it to have multiple relationships as cheaters so like i wanted to tell everyone to avoid twitter please its triggerd our imposter syndrome really bad

Can alters "fuse" when they want while in the headspace? Like steven universe style? I've heard some systems say that they're headmates can but I am curious if this is a more common(ish) thing?

I can't say if it's common but if systems have said they experience it then yes! I'd say so!

do any other systems with communication errors ever just hear random just straight unhinged comments from your headmates 😭😭

Sometimes they ain't even talking to me they're talking to each other and it feels like I walked into a room and heard something I shouldn't have cause it just goes quiet again

A few minutes ago all I heard was the faint words “act of terrorism” and I have no clue what to make of this and I'm sure they're all laughing at my confusion

We get that, it's such a weird feeling lol

Hello everyone!

Due to some system shifting we (mod valentine) are changing our name. We now have two hosts and Valentine is a specific nickname only one of us uses, so we will now be using Mod Surge instead.

If your brain goes to the sonic character you're correct. We have great taste we know.
