Welcome to the Sonic Pride Corner! 🌈

What we do ✨

The Sonic Pride Corner is a project created to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community within the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom! We will be creating queer StH art as well as reblogging it from other creators. We're focused on spreading positivity, being a welcoming and supportive space for queer sonic fans, and providing LGBTQIA+ resources.

The mods of this blog are a group of LGBTQIA+ Sonic fans and artists who enjoy seeing ourselves and our community reflected in the characters we love! We are choosing to keep our real identities anonymous, but you can find the list of all of our mod aliases here!

Our Sonic Pride Month Requests

Information

When our requests are open, you will be able to request any Sonic the Hedgehog character(s) you'd like, along with one or more LGBTQIA+ headcanons you'd like to see them drawn with!

You may also request ships for us to draw, but please specify that you want them to be depicted as a ship (you may also specify romantic or QPR if you'd like) and make sure to include LGBTQIA+ headcanons for any characters involved!

Examples of requests we'd be happy to draw:

"Can you draw Sonic with a trans flag scarf and an aroace pin?"

"Could you please draw Amy in lesbian flag colors?"

"May I see Knuckles x Shadow, with them holding a bi flag together?"

Once we start receiving requests, we will be working on them on a First Come, First Serve basis-- however, every mod's workflow is different, and some asks may end up getting answered faster than others purely because of this. That being said, the earlier you send your request in, the more likely we will be able to make art for it!

Due to the FCFS nature of this event, we ask that you limit your requests to only one or two to let other people have a fair chance at their requests being drawn, and only make another request when your initial requests have been answered.

Because this blog is run by many people who have a variety of external obligations, some of the year's requests may unfortunately go unanswered. If you made a request in previous years and we were unable to fulfill it, feel free to send it again the next time we have requests open! We'd love a second chance to bring your headcanon(s) to life.

Request Rules and General Blog Rules

This is not a space for discourse, politics, competition or bigotry, nor do we condone the harassment of any individual for any reason.

We do not accept nor condone sexual, proship or explicit requests. You will be ignored.

We have the right to refuse any ask for any reason. You are not guaranteed a reply. Please be considerate as we all have our own lives and this is purely a passion project.

This blog is meant to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ Sonic community first and foremost, and while ships are allowed, they are not the focus of our project. We'd be very grateful to receive requests that are not of that nature.

Please do not request OC / AU related content.

Please do not spam the inbox nor ask for anything overly complicated. Do not ask for revisions on drawn requests either.

Do not request that a specific mod draw for your request, nor state whom you do not wish to answer. You may ask for mods directly if it is normal conversation/questions. Additionally, do not ask us invasive questions.

We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have and promote your work if it is within our guidelines. However, we do not accept post submissions or images for safety reasons, so please either tag us or link the desired post.

Art we create from requests can be used as long as it is being used non-commercially (ie. profile pictures, phone backgrounds, etc), please credit @sonicpridecorner + the mod that made the art.

All posts are organized by the tagging system. Please do not feel discouraged if you see someone already asked for something, a different mod might be excited to draw that too!

hi! could i request self care tips for an exhausted and socially drained cat? we're a nocturnal creature and scared of people 😿 our distrust of people and the constant on-edge feeling makes it hard to accomplish our goals...

For sure! We’ve done more generic cat tips here, but I have some other ideas that can fit your current situation!

This one’s kinda obvious, but if you can safely do so... stay up late, or even all night! It works wonders. Every human has gone to sleep, so it’s dark and quiet, and you can appreciate the night! But I recommend staying in your room so you get the solitude you’re looking for.

Whenever you choose to sleep, maybe listen to some cat ASMR beforehand! There’s a lot of good ones out there; plenty of purring, some snacking, some grooming, etc. It might help give you the feeling of socializing with your fellow cats. (Plus, it’ll also be quiet and relaxing).

If you’re looking to reach out more to other people, maybe join a kin/therian/etc Discord server! You can chat with people who understand how you feel and you can set your own boundaries.

Keep little things to remind you of your kintype/theriotype/etc on hand for when you’re feeling unmotivated. (Something like this maybe.) It might help give you the boost of confidence and assurance you need to keep going!
