Introductions pt. 3

Hullo! I’m @welcometothisby​, but you probably know that! I started The Scorpio Races Festival five (5!!!) years ago, but I don't feel I can’t really take credit for it. I just pulled it out of the sea and held on; it is all of you who have made it magic!

I first listened the audiobook six years ago, a tradition I’ve repeated every year since then, and I cry at the end every damn time. I could never shake that beautiful, wistful feeling I had, so I started a fan blog just so I’d have a place to reblog all the moody photos of horses and oceans and cliffs and old-fashioned bathing suits that I loved. What I didn’t expect was to find a whole community of other islanders who loved the Scorpio sea and Thisby’s shores just as much as I did! And that has been worth more than anything!

My favorite aspect of Thisby’s mythology would probably be the strange and twisting stonework of Malvern’s barn and St. Columba’s. I’m fascinated with the lost stories they tell! I’m looking forward to the stories YOU’LL tell! :)
