is the sign up sheet for 2020? or should we wait until this round is over?
The sign up sheet is for this round, 2019, ending on Dec 31st, 2019. The round closes on the 10th of January, 2020. As in, all fills need to be published before or on the 10th. We’ll be spending the rest of January accepting masterlist submissions and reblogging those and calculating points for this round. All masterlists will (hopefully) be reblogged by January 31st, at which point the round will officially be closed!
Sign ups for Round 2 will open after that, and like this one, run until the end of 2020. So it depends on how much time you think you need to make some fills!

Call for Betas and Pinch-Hitters
Here at Olivarry Secret Santa we’re hoping for all of our Santas to put their best work forward for their giftees! To help everyone be excellent we’re looking to collect some volunteer betas to help everyone out. Don’t worry, you won’t be matched with your own gift!
For anyone looking for the services of a beta, we ask that you give your beta a week’s notice to look over your work. Once we have a list of people looking for beta services we’ll put everyone who’s volunteered in contact with their beta reader.
We’re also here to make sure that everyone involved gets a gift! Real life can take over at a moment’s notice so we’re also looking to gather some pinch-hitters. What’s a pinch-hitter? Someone who’s able to write a fic, gifset, make artwork, etc, on short notice to fill the spot of a Santa who’s had to drop out. If you want to participate in the Santa but don’t necessarily want fanwork in exchange, this would be your opportunity to be involved!

May I suggest switching MLM and WLW to the trope list instead of the kink list because honestly it makes me super uncomfortable comparing homosexuality to a kink.

Excellent point. It’s been moved now. Originally it was put there because it’s neither a trope nor an AU, and we had it in mind for the NSFW cards (so, a prompt being actual sex between a MLM or WLM couple), so it by default just fell into that category, as opposed to the SFW one. Comparing homosexuality to a kink was never our intention, and we deeply apologize if it came off that way.
EDIT: After some discussion with the admin team, we’ve elected to remove MLM and WLW as prompts entirely. Users can write for MLM or WLW ships regardless, and we have MLM and WLW ships included in our ship lists which can appear on cards. Again, we apologize for any misunderstandings that this may have caused.
I know I updated a lot last week and thanks for the reblogs but there are a couple more that you may have missed if they're not already queued. Sorry the mark offs on the cards are completely changed out but the site I was using was messing up my cards and I had to go through a lot of free editing sites until I found one where I could keep using it. Anyway thanks again!
