just found out menelaus had tumblr! can you tell me more about your relationship to hector?

Well, it’s complicated… Hektor is one of my dear friends, yet I push his limits most times, most on accident rather than intentionally.

We met when he was trying to find his advisor, Polydamas, whilst he was on a very long diplomatic journey. Hector stayed with us for four months, and I had—admittedly—fallen in love with him. Especially one night, a sensual and intimate night, that I have been regarding as of late. Whereas I can't say I didn't like it, I do dream of an outcome where we went further than what we had. It makes my face much more red than sun damage ever could—except the reason my freckles are in an absurd amount is because of the sun damage....

Anyways, back on topic. As of now, though we have had many, upon many, disagreements and disputes, he is still one of my very close friends... And, a man I still love even though, with the war and Polydamas...it isn't possible to freely do so.

But Hector is a man that we all should respect, coming from a man who has done him many wrongs and has hurt him deeply.

As for aforementioned Polydamas, I have yet to meet him or get to know him (as if he would let me, of all people, do that). But, if the chance we're ever to come, I'd surely take it.
