A mega size modakam (kozhukattai-popular South Indian sweet dumpling) was today offered to devotees at the Rockfort temple here on the occasion of Vinayaka Chathurthi.

The ingredients comprised 10 kg rice, 200 coconut kernels, 15 kg of jaggery, 25 kg of ghee along with 200 grams of cloves and similar quantity of cardamom.

Devotees thronged the temple on the occasion, officials said.
