Like we have a guy who met a guy named c!Tommy. They were best friends. He learned to swim in the Overworld, and he taught his friend to shoot arrows, arrows that he would never know would one day be used in revolutions and duels and cost him his lives. And then he loses that home, and he loses his family, and he takes time to travel. And when he returns, he almost believes that he loses his friend.

And now here he is, at the Dream SMP, and c!Tommy is alive, but he's not...well. He's different. He doesn't quite smile as brightly, doesn't move through the world as boldly, he doesn't dive headfirst into water or plans or goals. He has a home that is less structurally good than the one he had before. The ground is shaky like its been blown up before. There's towers and building crater and wars that they know nothing about. All they know is c!Tommy is afraid, upset, and that there are screams of death starting from his path to the crater of a place he won't really speak of, even as he incases his home in those familiar walls. All they know is that it's from c!Dream.

But c!Dream is nice, right? c!Tommy says he misses him, when things were simple, right? And c!Tommy hasn't really told him that the shrine was distasteful has he, speaking of, where is c!Tommy gone off to? And maybe so he goes along with c!Dream's plans, you bumble through, learn that maybe someone's wronged him. They don't know that it was c!Dream that wronged people, c!Dream kind of freaks him out anyway. And he's a good fighter, doesn't mind helping out. And maybe now he's in the heat of battle, maybe c!Dream, c!Punz, and c!Eryn are winning, except c!Tommy stands before him with the most betrayed and sad eyes, like you were the final person he never expected to side with c!Dream. And maybe c!Dream puts his hand on the hilt of a sword and tells you to point and attack while he's down.

They can't do it.

okay, the way taylor created folklore and the intended purpose behind it is possibly becoming clearer to me... it’s like... how aaron said she didn’t start creating until she had the story/intention/characters figured out, and in some, she suddenly flips and enters the story herself... it’s like she’s telling other people’s stories to us and making it conversational, the way you’re like “oh my god this crazy thing happened to my friend, i can’t believe it, if something like that happened to me i would do xyz and actually that’s similar to what happened to my childhood friend...” it just goes on and on, and changes a little, like a folk story
