trying to kill the squash bugs almost brought me to tears. it goes against my whole philosophy! I can't create a bug so what gives me the right to kill one? I can kill the eggs no problem but seeing a beetle fighting for its life trying not to drown . . . I couldn't do it. apparently you can spray them with soapy water to the same effect, which I will try. in the meanwhile my husband has agreed to take the karmic lashing and kill them for me. what kind of a person am I that I'm relieved?
