Many moons ago, back when Barbie Basics were all the rage, I bought two of these cuties to make frankendollies out of them. I wanted to put one in the Elizabeth Taylor Cleopatra outfit and the second one was supposed to be a body donor for the Princess of South Africa. However, they were so lovely, I could not bring myself to behead them so I kept both of them as they were. One of them is displayed in her original outfit, still waiting for the Cleopatra fashion to come home (because the price is ouch) but the other one has been in the box for years. Today, on whim, I put her in the BMR1959 outfit that I got with a Kira that I needed for one of the Kurhn hybrids and OMG!! She's so cute!! 😍
She is the Barbie Basics Collection 001 model no. 4 wearing the Kira BMR1959 fashion. I had originally intended to rehome this outfit because it doesn't match anything in my collection but now I think I'll keep it on her. Maybe get her some more colourful friends to keep her company.
