1/20 scale Wardrobe from 'The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe diorama: Thought I'd rewind slightly just to show the development of turning plastic into wood 😂 I've started on the faux wood painting in a base layer of brown first and then using watered down shades of orange brown mixes it builds up the wood pattern - you have to brush in the same direction with each stroke to ensure the pattern is consistent. I used a coat of chalky paint on top of the primer which has added a texture to the surface in places. Also swipe to see the build up from left to right of the wattle and daub - I started with a vibrant yellow, toned it down with white and then placed in blotches of beigey yellow - still work to be done here!
