if you're making tusks/fangs/any kind of tooth prosthetic out of modeling plastic, i really recommend mounting it on an old retainer instead of directly on your teeth
it makes it way easier to play with the shape and positioning without the risk of burning your gums or lips, or the annoyance of re-melting the plastic over and over if you don't get the fit just right the first time. once they are just what you want you can trim the excess portion of the retainer tray off of the finished product
it also makes it easier to eat in them without worrying they might pop off. i wear the ones below for 8-10 hours at a time, perform, eat and drink in them, with no issue. do yourself a favor and use a retainer, baybee
