The man would pour some tea into two intricately designed cups; one for his friend and one for himself. The soothing aroma would encompass the endless field, and with the shade of the tree at their benefit, allowed for a much more pleasant evening.

“Thanks. Couldn’t have done it without you.”

Much of the help stems from the very beginning from when they first met. Having crossed paths through a part of her reincarnation, he had interested himself in the woman’s rather abnormal dilemma; of it being a curse placed upon herself from many lifetimes before. In that process, her own soul and memories remained in tact after each incarnation into one world or another, accompanied with that vessel’s own set of memories and personality. He exercised himself after finding the source of her incarnation cycle, which was more so difficult due to her rather short lives with each ‘cycle’.

This time, however, wouldn’t be one of those short lived moments. Having found a temporary work around, she’d have a much longer window of time before her next cycle began, allowing for more time to filter corrupting or clashing memories, as well as being able to enjoy ‘normal’ festivities such as this one.

He’d prepare her a special dessert, topped off with a scented candle neatly centered. With the ‘wish’ thoughtfully made, she’d happily put out the small flame.

“…It’s…been so long since I’ve gotten to do something like this. It’s felt like an eternity…. I can’t thank you enough..”

There's a particularly chuckle worthy moment when the OT4 of the Merlin cast are all huddled on a hotel couch away from the small insect on the floor.

Also. I just wanted to give a MASSIVE apology to all of you, for our dreadful lack of posts recently. RPF for Merlin seems to suffering a drought of new stories at the moment, and although we'll try our best to rec everything we possibly can, we can do naught but go with the flow of the fandom!
