I love rarepair shippers, because unlike (some) those canon shippers, we don't enforce people to like a ship just because it has canon interaction. "Hey I think these two look cute together because they share ideals, have a similar life and value similar things." Honestly in a fandom, I mostly stick to one person I really like and maybe I'll consider shipping them. In Genshin, this happens to be Diluc, he's the character who I ship with a lot of people because I love him.
Now let's be fair. There are rare pair shippers who are assholes. But They are in the minority especially compared to the people who live and die on interaction.
But Honestly, having been around the block a few times in fandom space. I've just learned it's best to just generally crave out your own little space like what you like and just vibe. Avoid that mob mentality that happens in fandoms.
As for Diluc, the same, he is my favorite part of genshin. He's fun to play, and I like building him (I have a Hu Tao who he's all his leftovers, and I'm sure I'd get killed in major fandom space for that. ) He's also got an interesting personality who meshes well with others. I'm currently interested in more with Al Haitham to see what he and Diluc would be like, and by extension, I've taken an interest in Kevah. Which ya knooow would be kinda funny to me.
