What do u imagine Daenarya would be like in a modern setting?

Aww yay! Thank you for the ask! I really need to work on a modern AU. It would be fun to explore.

Daenarya's personality would be more or less the same. She's strong, confident, flirty, protective, caring, and all around a badass.

Her fashion is definitely a lot of dark colors, leather jackets, and moto or combat boots. She has a few tattoos (but I haven't decided what yet, but Mal definitely drew one of them).

I could totally see her having a motorcycle and Mal just holding onto her. He can ride too, but he'd rather be near her.

In the car they bicker over directions, Mal always insists he knows a short cut not on the GPS, but he is only about 50% accurate so they end up lost a lot. They don't mind red lights because half the time they're fooling around or making out because life's short so why not.

I still think she and Mal would open an orphanage or foster children because that is something that is core to their characters (in my opinion). Neither Mal nor Daenarya had a great childhood even in a modern AU so trying to help children avoid what they went through is something they're very passionate about.

I could see Daenarya being an attorney that focuses on child welfare and fights for rights of children.

Though, I do think Daenarya would have fun being a bounty hunter or tracking missing persons and bringing them home safely.

Mal and Daenarya would still be poly, but probably not with as many people. But again, I'd have to think about this and figure it out a bit more. They're definitely married to each other but still like being with their same gender lover at times, but also in a modern AU they'd have access to lots of toys that would help them explore being together in new ways that I think they'd both really enjoy. So they might end up being much more mutually exclusive and never leave the bedroom with all the toys they'd buy.

I could also see them being involved in a sex club where they could explore different kinks and play with others, but they'd always go home together. (They separate sex from romance and love.... the ONLY exception is Tyril and Maiele. Mal does have feelings for Tyril and Daenarya has feelings for Maiele. They're not the same as they feel for each other, but they both admit that there is something more with them and they are just open and honest about what they feel and when. )
