For the headcanons dating high school au for phasma (I hope that makes sense) you're honestly one of the only people that writes for her well in my opinion

Ah, thank you so much!! I really love writing for her. I really appreciate it! I know there’s not a lot of content out there for her x reader, so I’m glad I can fill a little hole in the fandom when I can.

(Note: his is a fem!reader.)

-Phasma would definitely make the first move. That’s not to say it would be quick.

-The two of you would be fast friends. She’d kind of force herself into your group of friends on her first day, boldly asking to sit at the lunch table with you and your friends, Kylo and Hux. After that, it would feel like she had always been there.

-You’d appreciate finally having another girl in the group. It was nice to have someone to get ready for homecoming with or sneak off to the bathroom with during class just to chat.

-Over the next few months, she’d start sitting closer and closer to you on the bench of the lunch table until one day you realized her knee was bumping into yours as she shifted in her seat. Hux saw the way you looked at her after that, raising his eyebrows knowingly, which you put an end to quickly with a swift kick to his shin.

-As the weather got colder, she’d lend you her jacket at lunch. (Varsity jacket, obviously. Phasma made the volleyball team.)

-It’s about that time when Kylo also begins to notice what’s going on. He was a little less coy about it than Hux, and asked Phasma - right in front of you, at lunch - who she was going with to the winter formal. “I don’t see why that’s any of your business,” she said before getting up to pick up her tray and go to class.

-That was also the day she didn’t ask for her jacket back, and it hung heavier and more obvious on your shoulders the further she walked away. (It would be an excuse to see you at the end of the day.)

-She’d refuse to take her jacket back as much as you try to convince her. She’d tug it more tightly around you and whisper, “How else will everyone know you’re mine?” Then she’d peck you on the forehead and ask you to the dance. (You’d say yes, of course.)

-Dating Phasma would make the two of you the talk of the school, at least for a week or so and as much as you might hate all the attention.

-As things calmed down, you’d get more and more comfortable together. Lunches would be nearly the same, just a little more hand-holding and a lot more teasing from Kylo and Hux.

-If you’d ever get self conscious or would feel out of place about your relationship, Phasma would be sure to make you feel better, telling you how much you mean to her… and also telling you how she’d be willing to kick anyone’s ass that had a problem with it. She’d always be incredibly protective of you.

-You’d begin to realize you saw the softest side of Phasma (and Hux and Kylo did too, only by association), but you liked it that way. She wasn’t a different person around you, just more herself.

-Having a girlfriend would make high school that much more bearable. Her jacket was pretty nice too.

Thanks for the request! I had this sitting in my inbox and was overcome to write some modern Phasma. So here’s a little high school au (which may or may not be based on my own high school experience in part, minus the girlfriend). Hope you like it!

You hated winter. Which was…unfortunate. You and your friends’ lunch spot was (and had been for 2 years) outside the cafeteria on a small piece of walkway. There were no tables or seats, just the cold concrete and one particularly unstable stone bench.

Phasma loved that bench. Probably because no one else did, so she got it all to herself.

It was an exceptionally cold day. The wind was blowing bitterly. You opened your thermos of soup and immediately hovered your hands above it, soaking up whatever warmth you could before it was swept away.

Everyone ate quickly and quietly. Between bites of soup you surveyed your friends. Rey had brought a blanket outside with her and mumbled stuff about a research paper as she chewed. Rose didn’t even appear to have a lunch and was more concerned with the pages of homework in front of her she was tying to wrangle in the wind. The other handful of your friends hadn’t even bothered to come outside today.

Then there was Phasma, who just happened to be looking at you each time you glanced up at her.

You pulled up the hood of your sweatshirt to brace against the wind and Phasma’s eyes. Next time you looked up, Rey was gone and Rose was packing up her things. She scurried off without another word, only doubling back to grab a stray paper.

It used to be easy to be alone with Phasma. She was your oldest friend in the group; she was all you had for a few months. Then the others came along, provided sort of a contrast to her, made her stand out a little more. That is, more than she already did with her towering height and brilliant hair. It was easy to ignore how you felt when your other friends were around, distracted by conversation, but being alone was overwhelming.

You cleared your throat and made a show of picking up your thermos. “I, uh.  I’m going inside,” you said, standing up.

“You could stay. Keep me company,” Phasma replied, leaning over to make eye contact beneath your hood.

“That’s… that’s silly,” you replied softly as you gathered your things and stood up completely. “Come inside, Phas. It’s freezing.”

She reached out and tugged on the sleeve of your sweatshirt, two sharp pulls to coax you towards her. Her presence was heavy, gravitational in a way that you’d never admit. You went towards her willingly, giving in to the urge you always felt.

She tugged at the snaps of her jacket as you approached, splaying it open wide. She had a sweatshirt on underneath as well. No wonder she wasn’t complaining about the cold.

You stopped abruptly. “What’re-”

“I’ll keep you warm. Come here,” she said, nodding.

“You want me to…”

“Yes.” Her voice was solid and final. She didn’t elaborate.

When you didn’t move yet again, she leaned over quickly, wrapping her arms and jacket around your waist and pulling you towards her.

You squealed involuntarily, half in shock, half in happiness. You landed awkwardly on Phasma’s lap, just as she intended, and the bench tottered beneath the two of you. Instantly you tensed up, grasping for purchase around Phasma’s waist.

“It’s alright,” she whispered against the hood of your sweatshirt. You reached up to pull it down. The shock of Phasma’s eyes so close to yours made you shiver.

“It’s alright,” she repeated, tightening her arms and the jacket around you. “I’ve got you.”

Maybe winter wasn’t so bad.
