International Anthem keep bringing the goods, and we keep lapping them up. Macie Stewart, Whitney Johnson, and Lia Kohl compose compositions that alternately feel tranquil and disquieting using string instruments, voices, and manual tape effects. Each is deeply rooted in sound exploration, multidisciplinary composition, and cross-genre collaboration. Across the spectrum of experimental avant-garde, electronic, indie rock, and DIY darlings, they have recorded and performed solo.
