Based on the post "my muse is very sick and has to stay in bed but refuses too- what does your muse do to make them stay?"
Merida didn't like being sick. It meant being cooped up for days on end, coughing and sneezing and having that pounding headache that never seemed to go away.
Yet there she was laying in bed and having all those symptoms smash upon her. Her nose ran and her coughing sounded like she was going to be spitting blood any moment. Her head felt like someone had just smashed it with a hammer, or Angus had stood on it.
'I'm fine! ' she tried to protest, but anyone could see from her red nose and tired eyes she wasn't. 'Please mum no need to fuss!' the teenager quickly jumped out of bed again, stumbling around for her boots. 'I'm just gonna go for a ride in the glenn. Look I'm as fit as a-a ACHOO!' her whole body shook with the sneeze and she gave a little sheepish grin. 'As fine as ever!' Merida finished off with that same little smile.

UGH! I HAD SUCH A GREAT DAY, AND MADE SOME AMAZING FRIENDS! Or.. I like to think we are friends, anyway! I met lots of people, and they were all amazing, but there are three people that stood out to me the most. Firstly, on Saturday, we have derpfire. I'm sure this is what you call a 'tumblr crush'? Basically, been following her for ages, found out she was Australian, found out she was going to the convention I was, and decided 'haha... I'mma try and talk to her'. I'm so SO glad that I did. We didn't meet till like... 3:30 on Saturday, which was JUST before I was about to go on stage for the competition, so basically... when I was nervous as SHIT! She gave me the cutest LITTLE TOOTHLESS PHONE CHARM I HAVE EVER SEEN as a good luck charm, which really did help calm me down, and everyone thought my groups skit was great. My point is here, she is amazing, and great and I hope we get to go watch HTTYD 2. Secondly, and thirdly, I guess I'll put them together here since they are the cutest couple ever! Are modern-hiccup-horrendous and modern-merida who I had the pleasure of meeting today. They are the kindest people I have ever met, and I feel sorry for them having to listen to me all day, I'm so sorry guys, but I had fun, I really did, and with those two, managed to get a big four photo (SUPER HAPPY) and I Hijack photo (thanks for going along ><) Cant wait to see them again, hopefully soon, maybe for some photo shoots?
So these three people, I now consider my friends, and I hope they consider me their friend, and not annoying like I suspect.
ANYWAY. So yeah, Supanova, had a great time! Photos will be up in about an hour or so! TALK TO YOU ALL SOON!

The sound of waves deafened her, the weight of water was heavy in her chest. Flashes of last night rushed to her. The ship on fire, something smacking into her head, the water washing over her, the sea filling her lungs.
Blinking her eyes open, she found them very heavy and caked with sand, rolling over she threw up what felt like a gallon of sea water. Once she had caught her breath back and the world had stopped spinning, Merida pushed her damn curls out of her eyes and looked around.
The beach had rock on all sides, on the sand with her where bits of wood, the ship. Well one of the five that had set out with her. With a mumbled she reached for her bow, still on her back, her quiver she found, had two arrows left in it. The rest of the 15 that had been in there must have been swept away.
With wobbly feet, Merida started to wonder up the beach, her dress was soaking and it was freezing. Even at mid-day the sun didn't warm her up. Soon she was shivering as she was walking, she had to get off this island, find somewhere warm. She had head of people that lived in the north islands, her father told her she would be safe with them, if they were not Vikings.
