Modern-style Carthage
from /r/vexillology Top comment: Inspirations: \-Flag of Lebanon (general structure, due to it encompassing the city of Tyre, where Dido, the legendary founder of Carthage, was born) \-Flag of Tunisia (emblem, but instead of the star and crescent I use Tanit's symbol which is the closest known thing to a Carthaginian state emblem, also a religious one) \-Flag of Spain (asymetrical emblem positioning, since it encompasses the city of Cartagena, what used to be Carthage, **not** to be confused with the Carthage in modern-day Tunisia's territory, in latin it was reffered to as Carthago Nova to differentiate it from the original Carthage) \-Flag of Cartagena (red color, for the same reason as the Flag of Spain)
