@panthaduprince_official - Conference Of Trees Pantha du Prince trades in the synthesis for an album of more organic tones and textures, specifically wooden instruments, to approximate the slow and stately communication between trees. This is entechno. du Prince's music really benefits from this organicness. It makes his music hit deeper, connect more thoroughly. He's always been an adept songwriter and sound designer, with lots of ideas and a dancer's intuitive understanding of the dancefloor. Last album, The Triad, however, seemed to burble along in a sphere of its own complacency, with a sort of jaunty, bucolic, optimistic tone that didn't seem to jive with the rest of the world. Conference of Trees feels much more subtle and more real. Yeah, it's a little less dancey. But it's more than worth it for these glowing ambient compositions around swooning cellos and rickety marimbas. 4/5 Best New Music #PanthaDuPrince #ConferenceOfTrees #ModernRecordings #Music #NewMusic #NewMusicFriday #BestNewMusic #March6 #2020music #March62020 #electronicmusic #IDM #EDM #ambient #ambienttechno #ambientmusic #dancemusic #modernclassical #neoclassical #forest #trees #soundscape #cello #HendrikWeber #jsimpson #emeraldtabletcollective #albumreview #musicjournalism #musicjournalist (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9ZluUnAmdn/?igshid=1frpgm2yi0yag
