When I get a new deck, I like to wash it in the smoke of either sage, Palo Santo, or some incense. This is just a little ritual that makes the deck really feel like MINE and gets rid of that “new deck” smell 😂 Smoke and fire are transformative, destroying in order to make space for new growth. I keep this in mind as I reflect on all the growth that may come with using a new tool for introspection.
