I'm considering applying for one of the open characters but what should I include in my character's biography?

It can be as broad or succinct as you want, but it's just really a basic summary of what that character's backstory is and what their life has been like up the point at which you are applying.

I love your blogs. Auroras mun is so dead on. Peter's and Felix' s are so hilarious. Snow is just as sweet as on the show, and I love when Charming and Hook will argue back and forth some. Henry is also well role played, and Emma too. I can just see Rumplestiltskin saying what askthedarkone responds to every question with. Keep up the good work!

What does it mean when a character is on the hiatus list? And what is that date under the name?

When someone's on the hiatus list, it just means that the human behind the character might be a little busy, on vacation, or simply not able to meet activity, so their roleplaying is put on a pause. A "limited activity" hiatus means that the writer's still able to answer questions, they just might have difficulty working around the activity.

As for the date underneath the name, that just lets everyone have a reminder as to when the writer's going to be coming back on with full activity.

I was wondering what kind of activity would be expected if I choose to apply. Would it just be answering any questions sent to me or are there other activities?

We count activity as answering questions, writing journals, reblogging related material that a character has a personal tie with with commentary...really, so long as a character's a-talkin', we be approvin'! Music and photo sets are among the things that don't count towards activity.
