okay, I'm sorry if this gets annoying but I got DOF to work and I put the mouse on my sims but when I turn on reshape they are super dark? do you think you know what I am doing wrong?

it should be less dark when you go into tab mode but you can try toggling mxao on/off, it’s responsible for ambient occlusion/shadows! if it’s too dark you can try decreasing the “ambient occlusion amount” under mxao

i’m not sure if this will make a difference but you can also try adding the following lines to preprocessor definitions under the settings tab in the reshade menu:

MXAO_MIPLEVEL_AO=0

MXAO_MIPLEVEL_IL=1

MXAO_ENABLE_IL=1

MXAO_ENABLE_BACKFACE=1

MXAO_SMOOTHNORMALS=1

MXAO_TWO_LAYER=1

Hey Ru! i hope you are doing well, i was wonder this: would you ever consider like a Technicolour lenses 2.1? for the most recent reshade?

probably not as i dont use/really having any interest in using any version other than 3.0.8!!

hello, hope you are well and I wanted to say thank you for all the help. I know dof is with the mouse, but do you have any tips when there are multiple people in the photo? also happy Canada weekend fellow Canadain

hey!! with mouse-driven dof if you can usually find an area to place your mouse a little farther back in the scene where multiple sims can be in focus, you could first zoom out a bit and then try to focus on them, or you could just have the sims be a little closer together!

hellloooo, im so sorry to bother you but i cant get Dof to work on the reshade preset 2.0. I've turned off what you said, could offer any suggestions?

hmm if you have laptop mode off and edge-smoothing i’m not too sure what the problem is  :( remember it’s mouse-driven too, so you need to have your mouse placed on the object you want to focus on!
