hey! sorry i took that sort of unannounced break, holidays were stressful but i hope everyone had a good holiday (or holidays, or just regular days if u dont celebrate anything) there’s some news under a cut bc i dont want it to stretch anyones dashboard so if ur interested in The Daily Madotsuki u can take a look (get it, newspaper joke, im funny)

i managed to get the entire sam and max collection from steam on sale (its $9.99 right now for all 3 seasons so if ur into sam and max u should check it out) which is what i really wanted to get for the next YNC game stream and now i have them, so i can start planning out another stream! i won’t be doing it until january but it should hopefully happen soon! it’ll most likely be on a saturday and start around noon my time, but no solid plans yet. if you’d like to attend and have an idea of what time or day would work best for you, let me know!

that said, i won’t be refilling the queue until january, most likely; it’s only a few days, but i want to take some more time to help clean up after the holidays plus i have a big personal project in mind (nothing exciting, just redoing my bedroom)

(u dont have to read this section if u dont care) and there’s another thing i’ve been thinking about doing which isnt directly related to this blog but i’ll mention anyway; i’ve thought f doing vlog and/or video reviews for rpgmaker games for a while now. i’m really camera shy when it comes to video, and i despise the sound of my own voice recorded so it would be hard for me but its something i want to try doing anyway. i’d probably start out just doing a few simple reviews of rpgmaker games like i mentioned, but i want to branch out into doing other kinds of videos as well. but this is where i’ll start. i’m very new to video editing and i’m not even sure if this is something i’ll really be into, so if anyone knows of at least a decent free video editor that’d be Great and also let me kno if u would be interested in this kind of thing anyway and if u have any experience in this kind of thing any advice would be welcome

also i’d like to make a quick point: at least 3 different people submitted their confessions 2 or more times. please dont do that.

if you’re not sure if your message went through, you can feel free to send me an IM and ask me to check, but please dont submit your confessions more than once... times like this when i havent been able to update for a while i have to go through several pages worth of confessions and having multiples can really throw me off. please just be patient, thank you

edit: apparently i can’t get IMs to work for this blog because one of my previous mods didn’t actually leave the blog, simply moved and left their old blog as an admin and there’s no way to remove them. feel free to send any IM inquiries to my personal blog instead

maybe modotsuki should get another mod

i’ve mentioned this before but it’s been a while, so i’ll bring i up one more time

i’d love to get another mod! unfortunately, my sense of trust in other people when it comes to helping me with stuff like this is heavily damaged. (sorry its about 2 get Real Deep™)

many years ago i brought on about 3 or 4 mods to this blog to help me run it, and each mod made 2 or 3 posts altogether before they just kind of dropped off the face of the earth without notifying me. all of them seem to have gotten bored and had left while i was on a long trip with my family. i’m hesitant to add more mods because this isnt the first time something similar has happened, and i really don’t want to go through thr trouble of adding mods if they won’t actually do anything to help. i have a feeling that the previous mods had only wanted to be mods in the first place for the novelty of it/bragging rights i guess so they didnt really seem to care about actually working on the blog

my main problem with what happened lies in the fact that they all quit working on the blog without contacting me, and they retained their status as mods without actually doing any work. i don’t mind if a mod quits, no matter what the reason is, i just wish they’d told me first so i could accommodate for their absence.

maybe someday i’ll get mods again, but until i meet or find people who are willing and able to actually help mod the blog it’ll be just me.

hello i am home!

ill get back to filling up the queue shortly, but i also wanted to mention that i brought some of my cosplays up to prescott with me and my mom got some pretty cool pictures (including my madotsuki) so once i get those squared away id love to share them with u guys! (and also if u have any cosplay pictures of ur own i would love to see them bc i am weak for cosplay photos)
