The way the TUA Feedback Fest works is by collecting recommendations made by as many fans as possible! We need YOU to make a post about your faves. Here’s some ideas for themes for rec posts:
Bloggers with great headcanons, tags, metas
Commenters and your favorite comments
A fic rec list can just be your personal faves, and it should be! But if you’ve got a lot of faves, maybe make a couple of themed posts. There’s plenty of space for crossover of these categories, but some ideas for specific fic rec themes:
Pre-Series: when they are kids! or when they are miserable in their 20s. they were miserable as kids too probably oops
Fixing the Apocalypse: right after season one ends - what happens?? what do they doooo??
Post not-Apocalypse: after all that apocalypse stuff is done. and now they’ve got new problems. or maybe even some healing?
Vietnam: ten months of character development and falling in love and it’s all offscreen - until now.
AU: fix-it fics, canon divergence, no powers. straight up coffee shops. crossovers.
Angst/Whump: it’s a perfect series for writing Sadness because they are all so sad all the time.
Fluff: it’s a perfect series for writing Fluff because they are all so SAD all the time!!
Short/Oneshot: a good word count for reading on your break
Chaptered/Series: a good word count for reading on your break. and another break. and another break. and anoth
WIP: unfinished, as yet. maybe an influx of readers and comments can help this get closer to finished??
Hidden/Underrated Gem: you can’t BELIEVE no one is talking about this. why does this not have a billion kudos. it is criminal.
About *insert character*: or insert pairing, or insert whatever it is that you cannot get enough fic about.
Self Promote!: fuck yeah, self promote, babey! which are your favorites of the stuff you’ve written?
To Read: you’ve heard good things, the summary sounds amazing, you love this author’s other work. you haven’t gotten there yet, but you are planning to!
This is just ideas, you might not want to do any of this, or do something completely different. Have fun with it; all positivity is good positivity! If you’ve got different theme ideas, reblog and add them on, or send in a submission or ask to the blog so we can share with everyone who might be looking for more ideas for making their posts.
