My current Favourite Gameplay Mods

Hello! It's needless to say that this post is not meant to be a guide. It's simply a very short list of mods (...there's 3 💀) I've been using that greatly improved my gaming experience. Also, I couldn't write up a guide even if I wanted to, guides and tutorials are my greatest enemies so I basically discover features as I play. Most of the feats of these mods are still a mystery to me as well lmao but that's how I like it!

Now, onto the mods:

The Arranged Marriage mod by mizoreyukii

I think it's quite self explanatory. It's a mod that lets you arrange marriages between active or non active sims, as long as the sim arranging the marriage has met them, of course. I'm using it right now, as my Calliope sim (who I haven't posted yet but will soon) was betrothed to an old friend of hers, and it's such a nice improvement.

2. The Language Barriers mod by Frankk

It hadn't occured to me how unrealistic it was that every sim spoke the same language and everyone understood each other with no problems before I found this mod. This one adds exactly that, a language for almost every sim world. Of course, it also adds everything that comes with learning new languages, like practicing, actually studying and miscommunication.

Since Calliope was betrothed to someone who speaks an entirely different language than hers, she started studying it and asked her father (who's conveniently fluent in the language lol) for help. This was the very funny interaction that followed.

3. The Regency Romance mod by JaneSimsten

A genius mod. Revolutionary. It's basically Bridgerton. It adds everything you need for a regency sim save, but it also works for, say, an asoiaf-style save. It adds legitimacy issues (exactly what I meant), social classes, scandals (which I sadly haven't experienced yet), some new careers, balls, and that annoying ass Bridgerton gossip paper that I have a love-hate relationship with (but it's actually a super interesting feature... for The Sims 4).

Here's what the lady gossiper said about the guy my sim is betrothed to. "Not all can be so lucky as to secure a diamond", except for obviously my sim, because she has a benevolent little angel aligning the stars and clearing the path for her lmao

Well, that's it for now! I'll think about adding more as I find them, and as I play. I actually have quite a few more, like the soulmates mod, but apparently some people are experiencing some issues that I luckily haven't run into yet and I'd hate to recommend something that's yet to be fixed or that sadly conflicts with other mods.
