Hello! I've been away from bandom since May due to my group closing and life becoming demanding. I'm considering a possibility to come back bc I've missed writing! But I feel so out of the loop with what's going on in the community, what groups are still around and what new groups have become popular, it feels a bit scary to come back. P.S. I used to check this blog every day and I'm so glad to see it's still around. Thank you for the work you do!

thank you for the love! i know it can be daunting when you’ve been out of it for a while, i get it. sometimes just easing yourself back into it with psls helps, or finding a smaller game to join with not a crazy amount of members is good.

since petty talk is deleting asks about unlost, i will send it here. unlost shouldn't be back, they opened it and closed it twice and if it's the same person running it, this is what they do with games all the time. they open them and after 2 weeks close them. whats the point in coming back now?

petty talk can do what they want with their blog and after reading what they had to deal with yesterday, i don’t blame them. while that’s not ideal that they opened and closed twice before, that doesn’t mean they won’t thrive a third time. with the trend of so many games opening and closing in the last few weeks alone, it doesn’t look great for any game, that’s not exclusive to unlost.

Levitate is pretty shitty. No one respects trigger tags and the dash is just selfie spam. There’s a huge lack of original posts but pretty sure the mods are fine with it. Sorry but it’s not okay to be so disrespectful to writers and make it so others can’t be on dash because you spam or won’t tag.

so leave, there are plenty of other games you can be in. i highly doubt that the mods aren’t enforcing trigger tags though or don’t care about lack of original posts. they also just opened like a week or two ago, give them a chance to work out the few little kinks that every new game has. or, as i suggested, leave for another game.

im bummed you guys aren't as active anymore because this was my fave bandom related blog to keep up with :( come back

i appreciate you but we’re only as active as we can be based on the messages we get. which hasn’t been a lot lately. if people start interacting with the blog again then maybe that’ll pick up. we also still offer plot requests here, so if nothing else you can at least use it for that!

I've noticed whenever a game grows bigger, complaints pour in. Babylon for example was nothing but praises for awhile. Now that the group is getting bigger, people are coming forward with more and more ridiculous grievances. You can't help but feel for the mods in these positions, cause there's more pressure to keep everyone satisfied.

you’re absolutely right and it happens every single time. so far we haven’t heard anything bad about babylon, i know a few writers that are there and have had positive experiences but like someone already said with every game especially with a lot of members there aren’t always going to be only positives. there’ll be some negative in there too. it’s just how you deal with it, is the thing. i do feel for the mods, mods of all games deal with so much and they’re running a game with a lot of people in it completely for free, in their spare time, and they get more flack than anyone. 9 times out of 10 it’s completely undeserved.

it's not just you guys every talk blog is a pain in the ass because people dont know how to use them. it's an additional feature to complain and reprimand writers & mods as opposed to directly speaking to mods whenever they have a problem.

this, 100% this and from what i found on this blog it has always been mentioned to go to your mods first. i’m happy to hear your concerns and give advice but if it’s something that so clearly should be dealt with by mods then i agree you should take it to them over anything.

Was it not your blog that was publishing asks with muses and their groups with the most trivial complaints people had to tear them down? And then refusing to stop that behaviour after being called out? Was it not you guys who were making writers anxious and uncomfortable to even log onto their character accounts? It might have been a few months ago, but you guys haven't exactly been the most positive reinforcement in this community.

i wasn’t here when that happened but i know, from reading the blog, that isn’t what happened at all and the conversation was stopped. there’s proof literally in our ims from that time of our other mod and the old one that left discussing the situation with writers and making a note not to post about it anymore so it was stopped. nobody here ever went out of their way to make someone anxious or uncomfortable, nobody wanted that.
