So, you can't see the results of a tumblr poll unless you vote or wait for it to end, even if it's your own poll. And I am a desperately curious modvocado and want to see the results as the day progresses.

As such, to not skew any results, I've been letting my partners pick who they think would win for the lipsyncs, even though they know nothing about Danganronpa. It has been quite hilarious.

Wifey picked Gonta because "the other guy looks like a weenie (Shuichi)." I about laughed myself off the couch.

For giggles, I did my DR tier list for the main three casts, so here you go:

I don't hate the orange rank, I just kind of forget about them? (Smoogs is there based solely on canon and not my many headcanons about 52.)

The bottom row can all get wrecked tho (no hate at all if you like them! They're just not my cup of tea).

I'm so excited for the lipsync tournament! I might've never watched Drag race and the only video I've watched with a lipsync is Tom Holland's Umbrella (which, Kokichi, btw), but it sounds like fun

Okay I'm sorry but you activated one of my special interest buttons and I have to ramble for a minute:

I am passionate about lip syncing the way I am passionate about cheerleading and rhythmic gymnastics and synchronized swimming and drill and ballet and ballroom and pole dancing and aerial (and circus art and mime, though those aren't as applicable here). I am completely enthralled by musical athletics and the incredible things that humans can create when they put movement to sound, and I do not feel like society appreciates how fucking *hard* those arts are. None of those get near enough credit or attention and I wish more people loved them.

Lipsyncing is a skill and an art. Dancing while making your face convincingly move along to somebody else's vocals is not easy -- not just your lips, but your *face*, to actually show emotion and connect with the song and give an evocative and entertaining performance. Drag Race isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but there's been some incredible lipsync performers among its contestants.

I'm going to link a couple of my favorites below, but if you have free time and you want to go down a rabbit hole, go to youtube and just watch some lipsync videos -- not just Drag Race ones, although there are so many good ones to choose from. You should also watch the runways if you're at all interested in fashion or costuming. Just pick a season and watch a few.

(And yes, the Tom Holland Umbrella lipsync is god tier.)
