I just looked it up now and wow, loads happened then. I mean, I knew it was the time against the Spanish Armada, and the fiasco with the Church of England, but I didn't know it was also the time when the Britannia symbol was first used. It was referred to as the golden age, of course there was Shakespeare, the fight with religion and apparently there were loads of conspiracy plots and oh my god.
