About Môhālôyā:

In Bengal, Mahalaya (Bengali: মহালয়া) marks the beginning of Durga Puja festivities. Mahalaya is the day when the goddess Durga is believed to have descended to Earth. Bengali people traditionally wake up early in the morning on Mahalaya to recite hymns from the Devi Mahatmya (Chandi) scripture. Offerings to the ancestors are made in homes and at puja mandaps (temporary shrines).

So today I had my last exam (of mid term exams), that was science. I can't say it was too great, I made some mistakes in physics (as usual).

Also, today's Môhālôyā! It's a very auspicious day for us Bengalis. In case you aren't aware about it, it's like the day when Mā Durgā starts her journey from Kailāsh to her paternal home i.e. Earth. So I woke up early in the morning and tuned on the Môhālôyā songs with full volume and woke up my parents (they had forgotten about the day!). Kinda funny to wake up with the sound of 'jāgo Mā...'(wake up Mother Durga).
