Sooo Izuku is a (part?) zombie during the zombie apocalypse who: 1)has no need to eat people; 2) is quirkless; and 3) remembers his entire life as a living human.
In this AU, Izuku never went to UA, and stayed quirkless (haven’t decided if he met AM or not). The zombie apocalypse started like a month into the first semester of UA aaand the world kinda ended lol. UA is a stronghold that mostly students, staff, and family have live at. Aizawa regularly leaves to go looking for a few of his students outside.
Izuku got bit on the leg, but wasn’t eaten. Per zombie rules, however, he did turn— except he’s not like the rest of the zombies in the fact that he’s still sentient, non-decomposing, and has the very occasional heart beat. And absolutely refuses to eat ppl lol.
As a zombie, he is completely alone. He lost his mom the day he got bit, and keeps a great distance from the few survivors around since they are prone to either run or attack (and Izuku doesn’t really heal anymore). But, being the only person who can get up close and personal w zombies with zero danger, Izuku decides to start studying zombies and himself, looking for answers and a cure.
On one of his searches, Aizawl ends up pretty far from UA and in a struggle. He nearly dies, but Izuku saves him. Aizawl returns the favor by saving Izuku. Together they go back to UA aaaaand in the end they develop a cure and fix the world and Aizawa adopts another kid lol
