Moineau and Laurette: 10 or 25?
Laurette looked at Moineau somewhat doubtfully, but did as instructed. An elegant lift of slightly-shaky hands elongated her frame, and Moineau turned the camera on her once more, his blue-gray eyes steady as his own digits; those wrapped around the heavy lens of a particularly intrusive Nikon.
“Oui, very good.”
"[Are you sure you wouldn’t like s-someone else for th-this?]" Laurette was asking, her eyes fixed to the ceiling to keep from completely succumbing to a blush. She knew if she looked at Moineau, the camera, or anywhere else in Threads & Mends, she’d dissolve on the spot from sheer embarrassment. "[Someone, y-you know. Taller and…better…]"
"[Breathe, Laurette,]" Moineau said gently, eye still peering through the viewfinder and watching Laurette’s microscopic changes and movements as he clicked photo after photo into being. "[We can stop at any time.]"
Laurette relaxed slightly, when he said that, Moineau noticed. The lines around her mouth grew less worried, and her shoulders descended a little from their near-ear position. Nodding with satisfaction, Moineau snapped another photo, half-smiling. She deserved to feel safe; at home in her skin. Even if he didn’t yet. Everyone deserved to know they were beautiful. And appreciated. He hoped these photos would tell her that much. And if nothing else, it was time well-spent with a new friend.
A friend who was learning to breathe, more freely and better than ever before.

I'm good, honestly. I slept in too long and didn't get my meds at the right time of the day, so I'm a little anxious, but it's nothing major. Fuck you, brain chemistry. Now to wait forty-five minutes until it kicks in. XP
