made this as I was coping the near end of season 2 because WTF was that

An entire room of people who are happy to see Oliver alive and he turns his back on all of them when he hears his baby sisters door open.

He's surrounded by Rasia, Walter and Moira and they're all so happy to see him alive and well. Then he hears a door open upstairs and he walks away from all of them and he's got this smile on his face and he knows. He knows who he'll see come down those steps.

OK nobody spoil this for me (I'm mid season 5) if it actually comes up but I was just thinking and there's this line in Arrow Season 1 that makes me question things:

Moira and Oliver are talking about Thea acting out, and Oliver says

"Mom, when I was her age, you and dad let me get away with murder."

Not 'would have let me'. Not 'practically let me get away with it'. "You let me get away with murder"

Like I know. I know it's just phrasing, it doesn't mean anything, obviously...

But its giving 'he accidentally killed someone as a kid/teenager/youth and they covered it up for him and he's only now realising how fucked up that is'

I need to read or write a fic about it tho or smth, Moira Queen would 100% do that and realistically Oliver had plenty of opportunity for some drunken stunt to get someone killed

Let’s not forget the period when Gibbs met Hollis.

At the end of season 3, Gibbs was injured in a ship explosion, he had amnesia, forgot 15 years of his life, and believed that Shannon and Kelly had been killed just two weeks ago (if I’m not mistaken about the exact numbers, but I’m very close to the truth). Then Gibbs resigned and went away for three months to the Mexican wilderness with Mike Franks, where he drank beer and built a boat on the beach.

For Gibbs, when he met Hollis, only a few months had passed since he had re-lived the trauma of losing his family.

So, the trauma was still fresh for him — and yet it didn’t stop him from moving forward with Hollis.

If that’s not love, I don’t know what is.
