Hm. No I think. I don't think that woman owns a single pair of sandals tbh. She's also not big on wearing socks (consulted my Moira outfits posts on this subject) so I don't think that combination would occur. Her children would absolutely tho. Kevin's energy Charles Xavier clone body won't stop him from wearing socks with sandals and Rahne would too. I believe.

what's really annoying about the "it was a Shi'ar golem that died and not Moira" retcon is that Moira's death means so much. like you read it and Charles had to be torn from his connection with Moira in her dying moments so he won't kill his mind. We see her last thoughts. we see her astral form leaving the world. we didn't just see her body die. we saw her as she died. and later on, it just doesn't make sense that charles knew she was alive. he mourned her more than anyone. her death tore him apart. she should have another accomplice who would know what she did, or they COULD HAVE USED CHARLES'S POWERS AS A PLOT DEVICE TO EXPLAIN WHY HE DOESN'T REMEMBER. THAT HE KNEW KRAKOA AND THEIR PLANS HAD TO WAIT SO HE ERASED THE MEMORY OF MOIRA ACTUALLY BEING ALIVE FROM HIS MIND. but god forbid comic writers think about past comic events when writing about characters.

#yael's x men ramblings #i like the retcon because i think it's a very interesting idea #i don't like how it was inserted into continuity #because if moira knew all that she wouldn't fucking do half the things she did #AND THERE WAS SUCH A SIMPLE ANSWER RIGHT THERE FOR ALL THAT.#charles's telepathy could have played a great role in the retcon but nooooo #we can't have things make any sense #it would have made more sense if moira asked charles to conceal some of her memory of her lives so she could live a normal life for once #(while they also prepare for krakoa)#the retcon makes some sense. and that's when talking about the legacy virus #BUT EVEN THEN. moira and charles talk about the virus so many times and they're so confused as to why moira has it #maybe they chose not to remember things until it was time. that's my headcanon tbh #anyway. i love moira mactaggert despite stupid writing #Moiracore
