Moira: I've invited Lawrence to come and stay for a week.

Mack: What you went behind my back, Moira you know I dont really know the lad.

Moira: It will be a great chance for you to get to know him. Poor wee soul keeps texting me and asking about you. He sounded over the moon when I told him he could come. He is, after all, Kyle and Jacobs cousin and the only family there is on my side. I thought he would cheer you up after you were so upset about Mrs. Reed. I told him you would pick him up at the station later on today when his train comes in.

Mack: What today?

Moira: Yes today! By the way how is the financial thing going with the pub.

Mack: The bank are still looking at it. There's Aaron's job and the few shifts I get with Charity. Manpreets increased my hours at the surgery when I go back. I'll not only run the pension club but I can help out at the mother and baby club.

Ryan is teaching me computer skills as I'm classed as management now as I'll be totally in charge at the pension club.

But best of all I will be the official mini bus driver for the surgery. I will drive patients to and from the surgery and take them to hospital appointments. I've also put in for a delivery job at Amazon.

Moira: Well done Mack. I'm proud of you. Dont work yourself to death though.

This is going to be the happiest day of my life when I see my dad again. Must look clean and smart for him.

Lawrence: Hi dad, so happy to see you, it was very kind of Auntie Moira to ask me to come. I've brought you some sweets.

Mack: Jelly babies! They were my favourite when I was a little boy I loved biting their heads off, how did you know I liked them.

Lawrence: Auntie Moira said they were you're favourites and she said you always left one in the corner of the bag that you had missed, and she always looked forward to eating it.

Mack: You and Moira have been having a good chat then! Come on now let's get you to Auntie Moira's, the boys cant wait to meet you.

Thank you <3 I hope that was intentional for the writers, or like sth is from now, when he only has Chrissie and the business to cling onto and she’ll be gone for a while. So hopefully exploration of it at eventuallyyy.

i truly believe that one line he told aaron is the depth of a lot of things with robert. he truly is scared of being alone. he sleeps around to avoid that, he clings to the whites to avoid that, he schemes to avoid that. it's his biggest fear and he just really can't be alone bc then he won't feel worthy and will feel like nothing and he'll feel like he shouldn't live. and he cares about people, when he cares it's deep, and he doesn't want them to have a nothing in their lives, he wants them to

have happiness and wants to be part of that happiness. bc then that will make him feel worthy of something. that's why he's so passionate in bed. to make others feel good bc it makes him feel like he deserves to live and it's ok for him to be alive. he just wants to feel like something, something that isn't nothing. i think it really comes from an insecurity he has that he doesn't think he's good enough (and he kinda pushes people away to avoid those he cares about getting hurt by him and having  smth not good in their lives) and he really doesn't feel like he has a place on this earth and he belongs bc no one rly cares about rob. everyone important has left him or made him leave. no one (other than aaron) has loved him and thought he's good.

But yeah I agree also, and that’s definitely one of my favourite lines that would be in my favourite quotes if I ever finished that challenge and it definitely does say a lot about him and what’s at the root of his actions and desperation to hold onto his life the way that it was (and while having Aaron as well, selfish but obvs what he wants). 

I think his family would love him if he gave them the chance but instead he wants to have a family from a false version of himself which obviously would never be satisfying emotionally, though I do think he and Chrissie had some kind of love (but a family, definitely not). Which I guess is all part of his image of what his life should be like that he already decided is not his family, probably from being made to leave, but also possibly from earlier stuff (like poverty, affairs, death, standard dysfunctional soap family stuff~). But yeah, he loves them, but it’s nearly like he childishly only wants to deal w/ a fake family, a love built on lies, (and that he views all of it like some game he’s playing instead, like just with a huuuge lack of emotional maturity) instead of having the real thing that is often painful and imperfect (and just too real?)

Tbh I'm not even saying this but on Sunday, the way mike was asking for adam and saying he needed him for something sounded like he had recently seen him that week at work or smth Just casual 'oh I need to give him smth' and adam came late so I thibk

That was he first time he saw him when adam was in the crowd so! I gaged from that that they'd recently seen each other. So yeah. Hoping he's not dead. Which I don't think he is bc no proof. But I hope you're OK anywaym I'm always here babe. Love you

yeah, i had seen some comments from people saying they saw him at the studios or something so kept seeing comments saying he’s still working but could have been work he was doing for like a scene for like idk having ross have a funeral or something like that. idek, so i take that with a pinch of salt i guess but yeah from what you observed well that gives me more hope then, thank you for telling me <3 

yes agreed i need real proof that he is dead, and i won’t believe it until i see any, and probably even then i’ll deny it ha, idk.
