Can I ask for altars ideas for the muse? Thanks a lot
For an altar for the Muse, I would either have a representation of Them such as a picture of Them drawn or printed (They are usually represented as women or birds) or images or drawings of the arts as representation of Them, dancing could be ballet shoes, singing could be a music note, etc. For a smaller or hidden altar you could use a music box or even create your own small altar if you're handy! I would decorate it further with mountain and pastoral landscape imagery as that was their sacred sight.
Offering ideas:
Wine
Honey
Honey cakes, barly, bread
Candles
Frankensince or sandalwood incense
Spring water
Wildflowers
Musical instruments, can be toys, drawings, pictures, etc.
Sculptures, either made yourself or miniature sculptures of what can be found in museums
Theatre masks
Arts you have created, like writings, poems, music, drawings, paintings, etc.
Devotional Acts include dancing, singing, drawing, reading and learning about history, playing an instrument, watching comedies and tragedies, learning about astronomy, learning and practicing an art that you're unfamiliar with, visit a museum, attend festivals, hold feasts for Them, work and/or honor with Apollo.
Be aware of your inspiration, when it comes, maybe it comes after you pray to Them, or give Them an offering. You can pray and ask for inspiration and thank them when it strikes.
