I think you are exactly right anon. I love new Vegas it’s my first fallout my first love but some fans need to take the lesson of dead money to heart. Let go.

I actually don’t have anything with vulpes that’s like directly with him that’s a whole can of worms for another time but Remington!

We all know I ship her with Boone but one I don’t talk about is a crack ship that was made with my best friend @abstract-apocalypse and her Legion oc Caligula but it’s more of a hate ship

when I started shipping it if I did: five seconds betty said “hey you know what would be fun”

my thoughts: it’s so fun to have two ocs who are polar opposites but have to work together and they just clash all the time, Remi likes to plan, Cali dives into stuff half cocked it’s just a fun dynamic

What makes me happy about them: the chaos

What makes me sad about them: it would never be something that lasts

things done in fanfic that annoys me: I write the fanfic so nothing

things I look for in fanfic: once again I write the fanfic so it’s all what look for

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Remi it’s Boone of course and Cali is whatever Betty comes up with

My happily ever after for them: tbh with how they are and in the story they it would be best if they parted ways and ended up with people they didn’t fight with constantly

kinda related to the ask meme you reblogged a bit ago but instead of pertaining to a specific ship or character, what are things you look for in fic in general, what about a fic makes you like it? also for the specific character asks tell me about either Craigothy Boone or any other character of your choice that you think needs more love

For fic in general I first have to been in the mood to actually read fic cause I want to be able to focus on it and really I’m there for a lot of it like I’m really not that picky, so it’s easier to say what I avoid. Depending on the fandom I try to avoid major character death cause it’s sad, with fallout that’s tough to avoid so usually I split hairs to is it someone who I know dies in game or is the author intentionally gonna make me cry. I also tend to avoid when authors choose not to use the warnings on ao3 cause then I don’t know what I’m getting into unless their summary and tags are pretty on point. But other than those two things really I’m game for anything. (A petty one I avoid in a ship fic is miscommunication as a plot device BECAUSE ITS SO FRUSTRATING JUST TALK)

As for what about a fic makes me like it...it’s hard to describe but sometimes I just vibe with authors style of writing and can’t get enough of it like if they can hook me I’m reading through everything they’ve done in one night.

Now for the character ask! For Craigothy Boone

How I feel about this character: I love him of course. I have lots of feelings about him and his past and his future catch me crying at 11pm thinking about Boone

All the people I ship romantically with this character: fallout is the one fandom I haven’t gotten into too much like inter character shipping but, Carla of course, Courier Sixes, Remington, and Arcade actually because of one fic I read that an anomaly

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Manny cause I see them more as a bromance or one sided thing

My unpopular opinion about this character: War Crimes are bad kids but also people focus way too hard on his War Crimes cause like everyone in the Mojave committed War Crimes

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Settles down with Remington and lives happily ever after with some dogs and horses and maybe some kids I’m writing JE Sawyer about this right now

my OTP: Remington and Boone duh lol

a headcanon fact: Boone is a thoughtful kind guy but he sucks ass with words so instead of telling people he shows that ya know he cares for someone in little gestures like remembering how they like their coffee and stuff like that
