The Mojuicy Mail Art Club (Mojuicy MAC). Quarterly packages featuring original artwork celebrating the lives of queer people of color.
Fam!! Today’s the day!! I’m launching Mojuicy MAC today, a subscription based art club designed to get my art off the internet and into the real world it’s inspired by. If you aren’t familiar with my work, I’m a queer Muslim illustrator who is really intent on illuminating the lives of queer people of color in all of our realities.
So why Mojuicy MAC? I know a ton of young Black and brown creatives I would love to support more regularly, but being a patron of the arts often feels like an unrealistic luxury. How can we sustainably support artists making work that we love and vibe with? My artwork lends itself to real world interaction, and I want to be available beyond just art prints. As a result, I am launching the Mojuicy Mail Art Club this month to fill a gap in sustainable participation with art. Being able to send cards to our friends and lovers reflecting the world that we know is key to our survival.
With a Mojuicy MAC subscription, you get first access to original artwork delivered in three curated packages through the rest of 2015. See queer people of color honestly depicted in the way that we live and love and chill out, all in bite-sized, shareable goodies.
What do I get in a package? Feel summertime fine with some Mojuicy favorites printed onto buttons, postcards, stickers, temporary tattoos, a matchbook, and a signed limited edition print in the first of three packages to be delivered in 2015. Expect thematic and holiday packages later in the year, with an option for surprise apparel throughout the year!
Send postcards to your friends or adorn your laptop with love that looks like your love, skin that glows like yours, and hair that curls like your own. Support intentional artists of color while celebrating your beauty, too.
